For accommodation in Nepal, the cost would depend on the grade of the hotel, whether basic accommodations, a high-end resort, or something in between. Big cities, like Kathmandu, would have higher rates than smaller burbs. A hostel may be your least expensive option, but remember most hostels charge a per-person rate.
(Food only, no drinks)
Food in Nepal is going to be most affordable if you take advantage of the food-cart scene, but you'll also save by ordering at a counter. Enjoying alcohol with dinner will add approximately 50% to the cost of your most expensive meal of the day. You can save the most money by staying somewhere with a kitchen and hitting up local grocery stores for DIY Nepalese cuisine.
Don't expect to pay less than $2 or so per drink in a big city like Kathmandu, and that's if you're at a run-of-the-mill watering hole. Cocktails can run $6 or more at a club, before the cover charge. Looking to save money? Find some fellow travellers or some nice Nepalese locals and stay in to party.
Everyone's preferences are different when it comes to daytime activities, so you might need to try our personalized calculator below to get a more accurate estimate for your time in Nepal.
